The International Day for Street Children is celebrated every year on 12 April. The day provides a platform for the millions of street children around the world - and their champions - to speak out so that their rights cannot be ignored. The International Day for Street Children was launched in 2011 by the Consortium for Street Children (CSC). The day is celebrated by street children, NGOs, policy makers, celebrities, corporates and individuals across the globe.
The Hope Foundation has been working since 1999 to help restore the basic human rights of street children who remain isolated, abused and abandoned on the streets of Kolkata (Calcutta). HOPE takes an active role in recognizing the rights of children and in delivering daily supports to ensure they live safely, attend school, are healthy and happy and most importantly, enjoy the gift of a childhood.
On an annual basis, over 30THOUSAND children are trafficked into Kolkata. We need your help to prevent such horrendous abuses from happening. Please sign our petition to help raise the voices of those who are not listened to... We ARE Louder Together! Thank You
