| 121 | Toby O'Brien | I have Freeview and thought Lost was an excellant program, it made you think and feel for the characters. Ugly Betty is a good show but for C4 to sell to Sky is a bad move. Sky is crap, my Dad's finally got rid of it after 10 or so years, we all find it rubbish. As for Sky - HD who cares if Kate is 3 lines higher than B4!!!!
Who wants to see Dot Cotton in all her glory anyway?
I've seen HD and compared to TFT on my PC it's crap, this is a bad investment and people have been sucked into it just like everything else these people say is better. OK DVD is better than VHS but who is going to apprecciate HD, the closer you get the more flickering you see, whereas normal TV just gets blotchy. I hope I die before I have to waste my money on Skys rubbish new technology, I might even get Lost (ironically).
Channel 4 use some of that hard earned advertising money to outbid SKY!!!!!!!!!!!
Why isi it BBC can stick to its gun? but all others cannot?

| 137 | Clive Wales | All I can say is that I can live with the fact that there are some quality series out there that are only on Sky - they've only ever been on Sky and I've never watched them, that's fine.
But to have got hooked on a series for two whole seasons and then have it torn away like this - well, that's just plain vindictive and obviously a conspiracy against me. I have little enough time to watch what there is worth watching on terrestrial, that's why I don't have Sky as well - it's just not worth the extra expense when you've got no time to watch anything! But this is clearly a wind-up and it's got to stop! Sky - you let us have The Simpsons (eventually), it's not going to kill you to let us disenfranchised aerial people get our fix back! |

| 149 | MacTheKnife | Hello Lost fans, I to am very disappointed that Sky have purchased the rights to the series, as they have to many of my other favorite shows.
Sky/Fox/Rupert Murdoch only understand, and care one thing, and thats money, so how about this Sky:
Massively increase your audience, for this show, and therefore you can practically double the amount of revenue you will receive from advertising. The easiest way to do this is to air it on Sky Three.
I hope this text is read by someone at Sky who has the power to set the wheels in motion. Why wait till everyone has bought the DVD of the series, air it on Sky Three now, and you'll get the audience ratings that the "Blue Chip" advertisers will pay dearly for.
Keep the people happy, and they'll keep watching, if we're watching then then the advertising monies will keep rolling in. |
