Losehill Hall is a place of environmental education, accessible to all, with the skills and resources to deliver an educational programme for all ages and abilities. It is set in a rural environment where global environmental issues can be illustrated and explained in an immediate and accessible manner. Through such a programme, key issues such as biodiversity, conservation, ecology, the role of planning and management, and the impacts of climate change, can be brought alive, developing a lasting impression of their importance and crucially, show ways in which society can address them. It is the concentration of expertise, the bank of resources and skills built up over time, together with the setting, that all add up to make Losehill Hall a valuable educational resource. By closing it, this excellence will be dissipated and its impact lost. A decision is to be take on December 3rd as to the future of Lose Hill Hall, we ask you to sign this petition to persuade the Peak Park Authority that the local economy cannot afford to lose the 28 jobs and £2,000,000 of benefits it brings to the region.
