Comments: I feel that food trucks are a tremendous asset to the food culture of any city. A good example is that of Austin, TX where trucks are moderated by the city, but food truck parks have been established next to main streets and downtown area that have brick-and-mortar restaurants. Competition is a healthy for any industry.

Comments: if brick and mortar restaurants can't beat the food put out by the trucks, as well as giving people a comfortable place to sit with some atmosphere, then they don't deserve special treatment. let the trucks in!

Comments: Let food trucks do their thing. As long as they are regulated in some way by the Food and Health, they should be allowed to operate. Just because they pose some threat to brick and mortar restaurants is NO NO NO reason to hurt the consumer.

Comments: There are few and limited options for a quick lunch in the downtown area; the majority of restaurants are sit-down. I really don't understand the difference between a new brick and mortar restaurant opening up downtown and a food truck setting up downtown. You really need to think of the consumer and open up the options to us.

Comments: Note to Sean Maher: Competition is good, not bad. And to wail about the fact that fixed restaurant establishments have to pay rent is like saying that e-commerce competes unfairly with bricks-and-mortar retail. In other words, it's pure protectionism.

Comments: I am the exec asst/office admin at Egg Strategy, a downtown brand marketing firm and we LOVE being able to hit the food trucks for the convenience they offer business folks when looking for a fast lunch option that offers clean & delicious food w/ out needing to sit down and wait. I also frequently visit downtown venues for music & nightlife and it would be really nice to get a quick bit after a night of dancing & cocktails. Food trucks would allow after hours food options so people don't have to drive and risk getting DWIs by driving to far off late night fast food places. Keeps everyone downtown! Please loosen regulations for the sake of downtown business daytime workers as well as the great night life!

Comments: I urge the City of Boulder to allow a pod of food truck operators to work out of City Park at least one or two days a week. Portland, OR allows this and it is a real community event. I would also urge you to allow for after 9pm truck operators to have some space around downtown Boulder because it feels like the streets roll up in Boulder in terms of finding late night food. Even the Washington, DC Mall in front of Capital allows food truck vendors. Let's get modern with a fun enterprise. I am sure the downtown restaurants will continue to do just fine.

Comments: We need more food choices and entrepreneurs. Let them compete on quality to survive. New York has the best restaurants and food trucks, both live and die based on customer support. No reason why it should be different in Boulder.
