Name: Rayme Rossello on Mar 6, 2012Comments: I own the Comida Taco Truck and would love to see the City COuncil re visit the regulations the govern Food Trucks within city limits. My truck was just voted one of the top 20 Food trucks in the Country, Something for which I am very grateful. The current ordinance for parking and selling downtown are completely restrictive and do not allow for ANY truck parking. I believe the vibrancy and energy that great food trucks have brought to cities all across our country is greatly lost here. I respect and understand the position of Brick and Mortars and also feel that a more inclusive ordinance governing food trucks that actually allows for some downtown sales would bring a really exciting and creative pulse to downtown. Sadly, without the ability to park downtown anywhere, I believe that the longevity and success of future trucks will be curtailed. Perhaps this is how the city wants it, but I truly believe this to be a mistake and lost opportunity. Kindest regards, Rayme RosselloFlag

How can Boulder be considered one of the top foodie cities if it does not embrace one of the hottest culinary trends (i.e., food trucks)? Boulder, let's get on board with the rest of the nation and show some love to the trucks!Flag

Name: Laura Bloom on Mar 6, 2012Comments: Let them sell close to restaurants after hours when those restaurants are closed (but far enough from homes to not bother them.) Let them gather in pods - that they organize themselves - which will not compete against each other if they are all in on it. The community building this sort of behavior could bring in parks and parking lots would make Boulderites happy and make for a wonderful tourist image as well....like Portland has among other places.Flag
