This is a petition to the London Legal League (LLL) to remove the Douglas Eyre Centre, Walthamstow as a venue for LLL fixtures and LLL associated cup fixtures. It has long been the case that the majority of clubs see Walthamstow as the most unattractive venue for a number of reasons. Namely that the venue is simply too far away from where the majority of teams are based, that the surface provided at the venue is of a very poor quality and that the fencing around the surface is wholly inadequate resulting in long periods of the game wasted retriving footballs. We understand that the LLL has various considerations to make when securing venues including cost and availability however this does not escape the fact that the Walthamstow venue is simply not fit for purpose and the fact there are surely alterative, higher quality venues available in London. We the undersigned kindly request the LLL to consider removing Walthamstow as a venue and securing an alternative pitch that more adequately suits the league members' requirements.
