To RTA and Liverpool Council,

We, the undersigned, request the Council to complete work on the pedestrian crossing on Wilson Road in front of Green Valley Islamic College to meet standards. We further request that the RTA approve a Lollypop Person to manage children crossing before and after school.

Application to do the above was lodged at the beginning of 2010 but nothing has materialised, apparently due to a misunderstanding between the RTA and the Liverpool Council.

There have been many "close calls" where serious accidents involving school children could have occurred on the crossing.

We humbly urge both parties to facilitate the above request for the safety of hundreds of students who use the crossing every school day.
