We have collected over 130 unique signatures in favor of the petition for a 24-hour security presence at The Lofts at Noho Commons. After our meeting with Scott McCarter of Redwood Partners, Inc., the representatives of Legacy Partners Residential, Inc., their legal council and many of the residents, in good faith I chose to take down the petition. I am meeting with Officer John Catalano Saturday October 9, 2008 to discuss the state of our situation. I am also meeting with Octavio Sanchez of Legacy Partners Residential, Inc. to discuss a possible timeline Monday or Tuesday of next week.
As per the petition,
I feel like I have been living in a whirlwind of emails and meetings lately because the situation here at the Lofts really needs constant attention. Even though the official meetings with management and the police department are taking up all my time I keep thinking about how many residents have stopped me in the elevator to share their own concerns about the building safety. It is a lot to process but knowing I have your backing makes me feel like we might actually get somewhere with these people.

Need this fixed asap. Packages getting stolen all the time and I never see a guard anywhere.

Ridiculous that this wasnt standard from the start. Security is a basic right for a building this size.

My car was broken into twice this month already. We pay way too much in rent to worry about our safety every single night.

It feels so sketchy walking through the garage after dark. Really hope management actually listens this time around.
