OK, so she broke the law, but her offence to decent humanity should be reason enough tolock her up for a while - people this stupid should be denied their liberty for their own sake, as well as for the society on which they insist inflicting themselves. Paris Hilton is famous solely for being famous - an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, she has contributed nothing to society and merely exemplifies the misery of our celebrity culture where people are more interested in the lives of vacuous people like her, rather than making their own lives count for anything more than a bag of chips. Far from providing hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world, she epitomises the mundane and her beauty is merely a reasonably fortunte genetic side effect maximised by a probably limitless preening budget - face it, if she was ugly, you wouldn\'t even be debating the logic of removing her from society for a bit of porridge. She calls herself an actress! Actress She sucks on TV (or so I\'ve heard from people who\'ve watched her - and I\'m not just talking about \'that video\') Writer I doubt she can write her own name without significant support from advisors and lackies. 45 days in a penal institution might afford Paris the opportunity to gain skills useful for a truly worthwhile life. She could study pottery, learn to knit mittens for children, or even to tie her shoe laces unaided. We, the people of the sane world offended by the banality of the celebrity culture whcih Paris Hilton represents, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by Paris\'s \'fame\' and how she fails to do anything whatsoever useful with it. Paris Hilton causes me misery with her pouting, her nonsense TV shows and her \'celebrity\'. I\'ve tried to ignore her, God know I have, but I can\'t. If you lock her up for a while - just a short while - it\'ll give us a break. You know it makes sense. This petition is to ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger not to intervene in the wisdom of the Los Angeles justice system. Please remove her, temporarily from our lives and give her a chance to think about whether she ever wants to have a meaningful career She is a mistake in terms of the greater scheme of humanity. Allowing such dull, vacuous and simple people to roam the streets, let alone drive vehicles, is very dangerous. She may yet hurt or kill someone - paitning her nails while travelling at 60 on the freeway, for example.
