Comments: I fully support the petition to increase the number of trains running from Lockerbie to Edinburgh and vice versa. I think looking at infrastructure on connecting Lockerbie into the wider Dumfries and Galloway region also needs to be addressed.

Comments: Early trains to The cities will make it possible for people to attend college/uni courses. The later trains back will be a godsend as I love going to shows but am put off because I don't want to drive back later in the evening.

Comments: Live within 1/4 of a mile of Lockerbie station and yet often have to travel 20 miles to Carlisle to pick up family from the London train because it does not stop at Lockerbie. A ridiculous situation.

Comments: Lockerbie is the only station in Scotland which doesn't have a Scotrail service. The South of Scotland is the poor relation in terms of public transport and job opportunities. I have travelled on the train for 7 years to work for the national transport agency, Transport Scotland. It is ridiculous that I cannot complete a full day's work in the Glasgow office due to the service which Lockerbie station receives by the train operating companies. Well done to David Mundell for securing further stops from May 2014 from First Transpennine. Perhaps Virgin trains & Scotrail will see the potential revenue to be gained by improving or having a service to Lockerbie.

Comments: I would be ecstatic if there could be a late night service from Glasgow and Edinburgh as at this present time it is impossible to go to a show or concert in either city unless one travels by car - then there is the enormous problem of parking for disabled people in those cities in the evenings.
