Name: Dr Hazel McDonald on Feb 6, 2013Comments: Lockerbie is the only station in Scotland which doesn't have a Scotrail service. The South of Scotland is the poor relation in terms of public transport and job opportunities. I have travelled on the train for 7 years to work for the national transport agency, Transport Scotland. It is ridiculous that I cannot complete a full day's work in the Glasgow office due to the service which Lockerbie station receives by the train operating companies. Well done to David Mundell for securing further stops from May 2014 from First Transpennine. Perhaps Virgin trains & Scotrail will see the potential revenue to be gained by improving or having a service to Lockerbie.Flag

Name: Phyllis Elias on Feb 6, 2013Comments: I would be ecstatic if there could be a late night service from Glasgow and Edinburgh as at this present time it is impossible to go to a show or concert in either city unless one travels by car - then there is the enormous problem of parking for disabled people in those cities in the evenings.Flag

Name: Duncan John Irving on Feb 6, 2013Comments: I am pleased that there will be an improved service from Lockerbie Station. Although some trains have more coaches it would be appreciated if there were even more at busy periods such as during the Edinburgh Festival and Public Holidays.Flag
