Name: Phillip S Pinder on Jan 18, 2013Comments: At a time when we are investing huge sums of money to improve Scotland's rail infrastructure, we have an opportunity here to improve access to rail services in a relatively remote part of the country at little incremental cost and with minimal impact on other passengers and the environment. In response to Mr Brown's challenge to Mr Mundell, I would be one of the users of these additional services.Flag

Name: Hilary Blagbrough on Jan 18, 2013Comments: it is rediculous that it is quicker and easier to get the train to Dumfries (from the South) and then a bus to Moffat than it is to get a train to Lockerbie and bus to Moffat. It also takes longer (due to the lack of trains stopping at Lockerbie) to get from Peterborough to Moffat by public transport than it is to driveFlag

Name: Ian & Pat Lewthwaite on Jan 18, 2013Comments: It is gauling that we see the Virgin trains flying through the area both North and South expecially Lockerbie station and they do not stop why? We would rather use the train up to Glasgow than the car, at our age but have little choice. However ,I have no doubt HAVE to contribute to all the train services subsidy without getting any tangible benefit - why should I pay anything?Flag

Name: Michael Drummond on Jan 18, 2013Comments: It would be of great benefit to local people if rail links from Lockerbie were to be improved. To have trains passing through Lockerbie carrying passengers who wish to alight for local destinations, but have to travel to Glasgow (for instance) is ludicrous. The service should be based on the needs of the travelling public, not the convenience of the provider.Flag

Also, why can't more of the Virgin Trains stop in Lockerbie throughout the day to provide an hourly service in conjunction with Transpennine?Flag

A requirement to improve overcrowding by gathering information of when most commonly used e.g.events xmas shopping, university open days e.t.c.Flag
