Name: Don & Thelma Smith on Jan 15, 2013Comments: Fully agree that Lockerbie Station needs more trains stopping there. In the past we have had to get a train from Glasgow to Edinburgh just to a train that stopped in Lockerbie at a time which was suitable, even though there were trains leaving Central Station whose next stop was Carlisle - whizzing through Lockerbie!Flag

Name: Jodi W on Jan 16, 2013Comments: Mr Brown please let the residents of Lockerbie and the surrounding area have better train links with Glasgow and Edinburgh. It would be better for the environment (fewer cars) and for the economy as they'll be spending money in Glasgow and Edinburgh, staying longer etc instead of staying at home because they can't get to or back from Glasgow/Edinburgh easily esp if they don't drive or drive but want a drink or twoFlag

Name: Peter Allard on Jan 17, 2013Comments: We need changes toimprove the timetable to Glasgow and Edinburgh so that people can get to work before 9am. More trains are required in both directions. Most office hours these days are 09:00 to 17;30 and this gives no time to catch the 17:40 from Glasgow. If you miss that you have a 2 1/2 hour wait for the next train - which is also the last train to Lockerbie. A more timely service with more trains would assist in the development of Lockerbie and improve the chances of inward investment in the area in buasiness and housing. The journey time is a reasonable time to commute to work, it is the times and frequency of the trains that is the issue. regards Peter AllardFlag

I thought the government's aim was to get us using the car less and public transport more. They are not giving us the facilities to do so.Flag
