Attention Local Trail Riders
Attention Local Area Trail Riders: Metropark Officers are now ticketing horse trail riders using the dirt horse trails of Hinckley Park. The reasons and justification have not been posted or communicated to the area residents that have shared this park for over thirty years. We, therefore request that the information and rationalization for this decision be made publically available, and that the users of this park be given the opportunity to challenge this decision and/or provide the resolution to offset this situation, which includes: -Ticketing without public notification or posting -Failure to include residents in decision -Failure to advise users of the data and information justifying decision -Failure to control other rules and regulations within the park (i.e. dogs on leashes) -Large population of area horse trail riders on limited trail space will cause increased accidents and escalated interactions with other trail users -Trails were established by local residents As a signer of this petition, we seek the findings for the justification for this decision, with an opportunity to discuss alternatives, with a suspension of this decision and ticketing until an agreement can be met. By clicking the "Sign Petition" button, this acts as a Virtual Signature and means that you have read, understand and agree to the above petition, are providing your true information that may be presented to the Cleveland Metroparks in an effort to save the bridle trails.
