Three of the BBC's regional TV news services are under threat of closure. The local services for Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Jersey (and surrounding areas) may be cut to save money. If these local services are lost, the areas in question won't have dedicated local news teams any more. They'll be absorbed into news "super-regions" instead. We believe that proper local news coverage is an important part of the BBC's remit, and we urge BBC management not to axe these important services.
