Name: Jennifer Muise on Oct 13, 2006Comments: This will definitely affect our fund raising efforts. Our elementary school is quite near a Loblaw's store which has supported many of our other findraising efforts. It would be a tremendous help to know we can always count on Loblaws as one of our supporters. Bring back Loblaws gift cards to Fundscrip - our kids will thank you.Flag

We may be a non-profit but we will never but directly from you no matter what your customer service is trying to suggest we do. We are happy with rhe way Fundscript set up the program for us. We will continue to buy from the stores that are in there program.Flag

Name: Anne & George McBride on Oct 13, 2006Comments: As loyal customers of our local Zehrs, I am truly disappointed with the decision made by the Loblaws corporation in regards to the use of discounted gift cards. In our small rural community we are limited in our fundraising initiatives and appreciate the support of our local businesses. I personally view the FundScrip program as a win-win-win opportunity: for the retailer who have a constant flow of eager customers coming through their door; for the customers who have a huge array of products to choose from; and the schools who have the privilege of using their FundScrip earnings to enrich students' learning. Our family encourages Loblaws to reconsider, so that we don't have to start our weekly shopping at our second choice grocery store chain.Flag

Name: Susan Emblem on Oct 13, 2006Comments: I will have no choice but to move the majority of my shopping to Metro now. I have spent on average $200.00 per week at Loblaws over the past 5 years. You can do the math and see how much you'll be missing out on unless you continue to support the scrip program.Flag

Name: Mike Ezekiel on Oct 13, 2006Comments: We Shop at Loblaw's owned stores and would be very disappointed to see them drop out of the program. I prefer to use their stores for all of our grocery shopping. They have competitive rates and we enjoy the bulk food section. It would be a shame to stop using Loblaw's owned stores. We have children that count on the FundScrip program, and we will do what it takes to support our children. Please don't drop out of the FundScrip program; the children depend on your stores for help with fundraising.Flag

Name: Marlene Jaffe on Oct 13, 2006Comments: Gift cards are the best fundraising program we have ever used at our school. Now that we know how simple the program is and how much money we can raise, I'm sure it will be easy to convince them to go to the local IGA and support the school rather than go back to selling chocolate bars!Flag

Name: Helen Tovey on Oct 13, 2006Comments: I am so disappointed at this decision. I will change my shopping preference from Zehrs to Sobeys in order to continue to support my childrens' school fundraising. Until this week, I purchased $200/week from Zehrs, and have encouraged friends anad relatives to support the local school through the purchase of Loblaws cards. I hope you will revisit your definition of charitable. Until now, I have maintained a strong loyalty to Zehrs in our community (Kincardine) for 2 reasons. The first is the Presidents' choice product line. More important is my appreciation of the staff there. However, if Sobeys recognizes the need for school based fundraising, and Loblaws will not, these reasons for shopping at Zehrs are secondary. Sincerely, Helen ToveyFlag
