Name: Christina Fink on Mar 6, 2010Comments: I am in support of a system which rewards children for their overall performance during the year and does not require that student to put an over emphasis on that one or two tests "midterms" and "finals". The childs performance which is the regular sustained performance should be rewarded NOT just a kid who is great at "cramming" and getting that final grade but slacks thoughout the year.Flag

Name: Marcy Weitz on Mar 12, 2010Comments: Why isn't the district looking out for the best interest of its students? The current system is working just fine.and given some the teacher practices regarding midterms including not enough time to complete the test and curving without using a standard bell curve this may be a disaster. We need no more negative publicity in the district. Put this on hold!!Flag

Name: Mindy Cohen on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I think the current system is challenging (92=A, etc) enough and the explanation page of info that goes to colleges does not do enough to explain our current system and put our schools/GPA in the best light for college admissions officers. Making it more challenging seems counterproductive.Flag

Name: Jody Stutman on Mar 12, 2010Comments: This would greatly increase stress and anxiety levels especially in children who do not test well, but who maintain good grades throughout the year. If a child is an A student in all classroom work, but tests poorly this grading scale would be viewed as a punishment. DO NOT FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKEN!Flag
