Where as over 120 communities have past ordinances and are leading this nation to a living wage
Where as the cooperation of The City and County governments of Charleston are needed so that our communities are not set as economic rivals
Where as all full time workers deserve a living wage
Where as the health, safety and prosperity of our citizens require wages that afford a comfortable lifestyle
Where as our taxpayers do not benefit from other working citizens relying on social services
Where as the most effective way for our citizens to afford housing is to increase their income
