Elected officials must have term limits, politics is not a career. You will retire on your investments into your 401k, not the salary you left office with. You will have Medicare or an HMO, like a working class person. You will not be able to accept anything from special interest groups for your vote. The American people will no longer support a staff for you while you are in or out of office. If you need people, hire them. The American people will no longer foot the bill for your living expenses. You wanted to get into politics to help the American people, not crush them with taxes and tariffs.
