Paul | Potentially destroying an 18th Century grade 2 listed street for short term profit is an ill conceived and short sighted concept. Once these 200 year old buildings are gone, they are goen forever.

Andy C | I hope that the Highways Department and other relevant council departments see sense and scrap these mad proposals.
Tanya | It is unbelievable that such a beautiful and historical street could be destroyed so easily without due consideration. It is imperative that we save this street from eradication.
Natasha Manganaro | I don't even live in the area, but heard about this on BBC London this morning. I live in a similar old narrow street in Brentford which is a also cut through for traffic and it is a nightmare for residents. It is outrageous that they can just sweep London's history aside and damn the consequences. Good Luck to all residents with the campaign.

Adam Collings | Although I do not live on the street I was appalled by the report featured on BBC London this morning. Such idiotic plans for devleopment are ripping the very heart out of the Capital's finest areas with reckless abandon.
John Claridge | Unbelievable and totally unacceptable!
John Claridge | Unbelievable and totally unacceptable!
Ingrid Stone | This is very upsetting - and just goes to show how blind and utterly greedy new developments can be.
Dave Fewings | Without streets like this Kentish Town would lose its unique charm
Alistair Hillier | Surely 2.9m into 2.5m won't go! Why destroy such an historic street and ruin the lives of the residents to create soulless new flats. There must be another way, surely?!
Charli Faux | An absolute disgrace

Stephen Benson | On behalf of the Dartmouth Park Conservation Area Advisory Committee I want to register our outrage at the casual way in which these disastrous plans have been nodded through and the lack of proper public consultation
Sinisa Rodic | Please don't let them!
Peta Wilson | Nooooooooooooooooo!
Anonymous | I'm fed up with the coucil, developers, government not listening to us, the 'people'. It's your home so what right do they have? This is another sign of the times. Good luck I hope your successful.

Anonymous | What a lovely street, don't ruin it for the generations to come....
Janet Snedden | Please leave Little Green Street alone, it is one of a few peices of cobbled history left on the strets of London. Why destroy it and that of the lives of the people that live there and those that enjoy using it! Leave us something of the old England!!

M.J. Beer | Pure vandalism!!
Emma Cohen | Save Little Green Street now!!
Emma Tennant | It would be a travesty if this street were to be ripped up by developers. It is vital we save the remaining heritage in urban areas of London
Anonymous | there seems no sense in this beyond the greed of a series of builders who seem to be lying to pursue their own ends with no thought for the local community
Emily Wilkinson |
Gillian Houghton | They mustn't be allowed to ruin this street and make lives miserable for the residents.

Alice Berry |
Ed Potton | Don't turn it into Big Grey street.
George Lees | is nothing sacred anymore?
Harriet Bourne | The plans to use Little Green Street are ludicrous, the roadway is clearly too narrow for large plant to access. The road is used as an access route by many locals. The bollards on the pavement are there for a reason, to protect the listed houses and their residents because of the very narrow carriageway - has the health and safety of the residents been considered??
Justine Roberts |
Harold Schickler | Apart from the disruption to residents while the work is going on, this risks being a permanent change to the character of a unique street.
