    Comments: Yes, I use Ubuntu Linux and the Epiphany browser to read the BBC web site including multimedia even though Realplayer/Helix support for Linux 64bit is poor. Our household has 4 PC users, One uses Mac, one uses Ubuntu Linux, one Vista and one XP. Only 25% aref us is supported by the BBC iPlayer.

    Comments: If there are only 400-600 GNU/Linux users accessing the BBC website, then I work with about 10% of the BBC's GNU/Linux readership! Don't forget that many people change their browser User-Agent to Internet Explorer on Windows to get around broken websites...

    Comments: 2x Debian GNU/Linux machines, one OS X. No machines able to use the rights-locked iPlayer that MY money paid for. The BBC serves ALL the public, not just those who use the products of a convicted monopolist. Someone should remind Mr. Highfield of that.

    Comments: What a ridiculous claim! I know that there are about 200 Linux users in my workplace (European Bioinformatics Institute) most of whom will use the BBC website, and there is another similar academic institution on site (Sanger) who have about double this number of Linux computers!
