Name: Jean Goodale on Jun 23, 2009Comments: From the time Green Level to Durham was enlarged, it was apparent that a traffic light was needed at Cary Glen Blvd. This intersection is very large and difficult to navigate across. We needed a light at Carpenter Fire Station and Green Level to Durham and we finally have one there. We need one at the Cary Glen Blvd intersection also.Flag

How many lives is this community willing to sacrifice before it acts.I am certain that eventually there will be a light but it should be done sooner rather than later.Flag

Name: Nicole Forester on Jun 23, 2009Comments: If a traffic light is not a possibility, this intersection at the very least needs to be a 4-way stop. Some traffic bumps along Green Level to Durham would slow traffic. An elementary school already exists off this road and cars come flying by at 60 mph!!!!!!Flag

Name: Anne Greene on Jun 23, 2009Comments: Which costs more! Lives or lights! I wrote a letter to Ms. Robinson about one year ago regarding the intersection of Green Level to Durham and Mills Park Dr. (that leads to the elementary school) I also pointed out that there were at least two or three other dangerous intersections within one mile of the mentioned problem area on Green Level to Durham Rd. I warned of the likeliness of tragedy in this general area. The tragedy has now happened and it is a travesty that we are still not being taken seriously. It is SCARY crossing the Green Level to Durham/Cary Glen Blvd intersection anytime during the day. Many of us travel across the intersections on Green Level to Durham from Cary Park and across to Mills Park Dr. with multiple children in our cars, getting them to school in the morning. There is a huge need for traffic lights in this area. It is horrible that it takes losing a life to get further consideration. More lives will be lost on this road because of the lack of traffic lights. Which costs more, lives or lights! Anne GreeneFlag

There is a ton of traffic before and after school, and during the lunch hour with our children at risk and buses filled with all age groups.Flag
