Green Level Durham/Cary Glen Traffic Light Request

The petition

We the people of West Cary respectfully petition the Town of Cary and Town of Cary Town Council to install a pressure sensitive traffic light with pedestrian controls to permit safe passage across the boulevard at the Green Level to Durham and Cary Glenn Boulevard intersection. This petition comes in light of current events in the tragic death of a 15 year old girl and multiple accounts of pedestrians and children being at risk of injury while crossing this intersection. We seek: A traffic light and yield to pedestrians signage. We request this is installed before the opening of a middle school in close proximity to this intersection. We thank you for your prompt action - the Citizens of Western Wake County.
