Name: John D Star on Apr 26, 2008Comments: I can't believe a company like Bell could do this to the employees the real workforce. More than half the managers are still figuring out what their job is so if Bell thinks that they can manage our jobs they are sadly mistaken. I say we follow the TTC and go out. Let this sad excuse for a telecommunication leader fall at the ignorance of their proud leaders. It would take less than 48 hours for them to see our value. Maybe then we can start negotiations and put a stop to Pichette's backdoor tactics. I expect this kind of behaviour in a Walmart or Mcdonalds but not a national telecommunications company. I say we walk unless the next contract (Which I expect by this Tuesday, Apr 29) includes all the provisions of our current contract and more. When all is said and done here I hope the make a warm spot for Sabia beside Conrad Black so that we can hold him as an example to the rest of the leaders ... "What goes around, comes around"Flag

" ...Laura Sabia Its a shame her son turned out to be one of the idiots. Laura fought for many women, her son for personal greed. I am sure she would be disappointed by the actions of Michael Sabia. Name: Anonymous on Apr 27, 2008Comments: I am disgusted with the fact that the government of Canada is letting one of Canada's biggest employers conduct business the way BCE has since c.e.o Micheal Sabia took the reigns. So many employees have been victimized as a result of him taking the company for all that it's worth. Does the teachers pension fund realize the consequence of having an entire work force of extremely unhappy employees; just ask our customers if you need clarification. Do you realize all training stopped when Sabia came in and all the experienced employees are being forced to leave through disincentives to stay. This display of corporate greed is criminal in so many ways and needs to be stopped.Flag

Name: Sick Leave on Apr 27, 2008Comments: BCE employees are so disgusted with the lack of integrity and honour displayed by the current senior management team that 35% of my crew is currently on long term sick leave which is a fine reflection of our dishonorable "Leaders". I will know the fate of Bell Canada within 2 months of the teachers taking over. You cannot win the war against the competition by stealing the shirts off your front line workers. This company has turned its entire work force against its self and its leaders are heading out the door with their loot before the after math really comes home to roost. This ship has a really big hole !!!!!!Flag

Name: Selfishness Breeds Selfishness on Apr 28, 2008Comments: I truly wonder what Sabia was thinking. It is truly amazing to listen to upper management and their doting followers take their message of a better Bell to the masses. Do they really believe the crap they are shoving down our throats " This is better for the Company and as a result will be better for you" How is taking away my retirement benefits better for me Hmm.. let me see.. while you do F... all for a few years you get to enjoy your early retirement and fatten your family with the money you skimmed off from the "WORKING class Bell.. while we get to retire and probably have to find a part time job to ensure that we can pay our medical bills and buy glasses... Nice picture.. I wonder if your doting fools will still be doting after you when they finally take off their rose coloured glasses and realize they can't pay for a real pair... When I was hired so many years ago I was promised retirement benefits.. You came in to this company and showed blatant disregard for the promises made to keep us loyal. Hey.. wake up.. I gave my 200 percent because I felt I mattered and it would payoff in the end.. YOU broke the rules.. you broke the promise.. now we return the favour.. how dare you ask up to put Bell first.. I will put Bell first when Bell puts us first.Flag

I can't even think about what else is gonna come crawling out of the baseboards...hopefully it will be walking papers for the 4300 managers that Bell employs' so what does that work out to be anyway...one boss..one worker...cut cut cut them mangers down to a trickle....wake up people smell the Global Bullshit that the company is giving away to all its employees! Oh yea by the way whats the cost of living in IndiaFlag

Competion and loss of customers is a management and corporate mistake not an employee mistake. The employees are the only reason things are not worse for Bell. We should be rewarded not punished. We deserve a good contract.Flag

Name: Work To Rule -Turn It Up! on Apr 28, 2008Comments: A company is formed to take care of: 1-It's customers 2-It's share holders / bond holders 3-It's employees BCEs upper management has failed in all regards. Why did Michael Sabia recieve a 555% pay raise and major benefits for such a failure Why are the employees and customers left to pay the price. This situation is truely CRIMINAL and needs to be investigated. The union better not bring us back another insulting offer, this work force is about to snap big time!!!!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 28, 2008Comments: Regarding the comments of 2699. Are you a manager Yes there are companies that do not pay as well as Bell. The question is, are we overpaid or are the employees of those company underpaid I see technical job postings that require the applicant to have many qulifications and certifications yet they only want to pay $45,000 a year, for a skilled worker, who is worth double that. Banks make billions of dollars yet treat employees poorly. Maybe those underpaid workers should grow spines and fight for better pay instead of feeling that everyone else should come down to their level. Also remember, we have what we have , NOT because of the kindness of Bell management, but because we fought for it. If it was not for the union and the memebers who were willing to fight, we would have no benefits or rights and would be making $15 an hour, if that. Managers should also remember, that they are paid well because of the union and the settlements that it has won for it's members.Flag

I believe that Bell can and should continue with the post retirement benefits. Our work & investment of time to the company should not be worth less than the generations of Bell employees that have worked before us.Flag

These C.E.O's are destroying this company and many others. Why shouldn't the workers have a quality of life as well. If they keep this up they will have a McDonands staff working here. O quality.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 5, 2008Comments: As a third generation Bell employee I am truely saddened by the fact that I dedicated myself and my family to Bell. Working for Bell has put so much stress in our lives from the early day's of being a part timer for 12 years and being cut back to 2 day's a week when I bought my house and had my 2 kids...I could go on and on. Imagine thinking you can beat the competition by going to war with all of your employees. Things are so wrong at the Bell, our customers can tell you all about it.Flag

Name: Joe Wacknutnow on Oct 8, 2008Comments: This was all so predictable all the metrics were there ie. pissed off and leaving customers. We Bell deserve the situation we now find ourselves in. The customer has spoken and they hate our guts. Bell management should get a very large bonus for protecting our jobs and integrity. I really like the next day guarantee...but when did it change I thought we always tried for that expectation. At least the customer has to now pay for the service which they already pay for monthly...brilliant Kevin. When all our customers are gone this will all make sense to you dolts.Flag
