Name: Carol Kurtin on Mar 26, 2007Comments: What's next I attended a union last wk & the union rep told us we should never refuse work & this attitude will help save on jobs!! Wake UP!!! When the Barrie ofc was closing I asked Michel B does it make a difference how good u r & he said NO!! When Bell makes a descision that your job is going to QC or India, that's it & it does not matter how wonderful of a employee u r & that's the truth!!!Flag

Name: Kevin Charron on Mar 26, 2007Comments: I'm very saddened at this newest development. I truely believed that when I started with Bell that I would some day retire from here with benefits after providing the company with lifetime of service but apparently not so. Employees are simply disposable once they retire. This is just another setback after seeing our wages rolled back after only 1 year into a 4 year collective agreement. I was once PROUD to be a Bell employee but now I'm just an employee. It's a real shame.Flag

Name: Elaine Mccaul on Mar 26, 2007Comments: I am Appalled at what bell canada is trying to do with the benefits. This company has been a company trying to promote loyalty and trust, when it turns against its employees who are the front line to the customers and stabs them in the back. The employees who will be tremendously affected by this are the employees that are considered the babyboomers, most have at least 20 years service at this company yet will not be 55 by 2011. The company is looking for cost cutting in the wrong places, it should start looking at the top, because if this company expects retention from its customers it is going to have to provide stellar service, you can't get stellar service from employees who keep hearing about jobs lost, pay cuts and benefit removed while top execs get publicised bonuses of 6mill. At the rate Bell Canada is going right now, it is a joke, not only to the employees but the customer, they are laughing at us, wanting to know when we will all be in India. What a shame, when I started working here, it was a great thing and people always thought you had a great job, now when people find out ( i don't tell anyone anymore) that you work for bell they laugh at you and ask when are you going to India or insist on telling you about their horrible experience recently with bell.Flag

Name: Robin West on Mar 26, 2007Comments: We've been downgraded and lost $400-600 per month & the CTEA has done nothing to protect Bell Canada employee wages !! We're now to lose our benefits at retirement. Will the CTEA do nothing with this as well What will it take for the CTEA to step up and represent Bell Canada employees with the respect we deserve Why is the CTEA charging Bell Canada employees Union dues to sit back and do nothing!! Is it not the intent of the CTEA to protect its members Well, we've been waiting long enough - START PROTECTING US !!!!!!!!!Flag

I could see if this was for any new employees just joining Bell Canada but very unacceptable for long time employees.Flag

This organization purports to value its employees, but they have a very strange way of showing it. God help us all in our next contract negotiations.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 26, 2007Comments: I used to be proud to work for this company, but no longer! The upper management have no respect for the workers who made the company so profitable in the first place! Instead of slashing our wages, benefits, etc.... why don't they get rid of some of the upper management who no longer have any idea how to run a profitable company and rely on cutbacks as a solution!Flag

Name: Cathy Perry on Mar 26, 2007Comments: We need to get rid of the Age 55 many of us have the yrs of service but not the age. We will hit the 80 + factor but not the 55. After many dedicated yrs with Bell its terrible the way our careers will end up. I believe if you have 30 yrs with a company you should be able to retire with a Full Pension & Benefits.Flag
