Name: Emily Carter on Mar 19, 2008Comments: As an international volunteer who spent 2 months living in the Buduburam camp in 2007, I know the situation in which these refugees live. It is not possible at this time for many of these refugees to return to Liberia, despite some of their wishes to. Conditions on camp are not good, but better than the situation many would face on return to Liberia. We must ensure their rights to survive and prosper in Ghana.Flag

Name: Catherine Boyle on Mar 19, 2008Comments: We are extremely concerned about the situation of Buduburam's inhabitants, which appears to have continually deteriorated since our visit to the camp in late 2006. Of particular concern is what the future holds for former combatants... Where is the institutional support for their transition to a new, civilian life For information about our visit, including video material, please feel free to visit the "Telling You the Facts" link at www.whitetara.orgFlag
