Comments: I cannot beleive they are thinking of closing Lewishiam Hospitals vital services. How on earth do they think the other hospitals are suddenly going to be able to cope, I am very worried.

Comments: Ridiculous, use our reserves thats what they are for. There are too many people living in the Lewisham area to justify this closure of a great hospital. Its disgusting that we should be put at risk for the sake of debt, how could those in power feel if a member of their own family died as a result of the closest hospital being too far away?

Comments: I have a 7month old daughter, I do not drive. If I ever need a hospital a&e ASAP then my closest one after Lewisham is Woolwich. That is too far to travel on public transport (may not be able to afford a cab at that moment in time) in an emergency. Why put babies, vulnerable people and oaps at risk. We deserve hospitals & a&e departments. Please reconsider

Comments: This won't just affect lewisham borough but surrounding boroughs as lewisham residents will then have to go too hospitals out of their area ,if we are not allowed to be registered at a doctors surgery unless we live in the catchment area then how is this even being considered that people do not have medical help in their own home area ,NHS should be first priority how can free homes and free money be more imortant then health -also education and our safety ,lives aren't a joke if the goverment want more people living in britain then they need to supply the basics I.e NHS people who live and work in lewisham should have what other boroughs have why pay taxes if we don't get the service we are paying for and are intitled to????

Comments: Just look up the road to the debarcle that is The Princess Royal hospital in Farnborough. Bromley Hospital gone, Beckenham hospital, no A & E,,,,,,it is a mammoth task for many people without cars in the area to get to the "Pru"...... Of course things need to change within the NHS and our way of thinking about it and using it. Thats about education......this is about saving lives.
