   Comments: This must not close as several hospitals have already closed in this area( eg: Queen Mary's Sidcup, Orpington hospital...) and it has just been modernised at great expense. What a waste of money and total mismanagement!

   Comments: I am finding it very hard to understand why Lewisham A&E is to close, I imagine lots of people, myself included would be unable to travel to a hospital in Woolwich, a lot of people wouldn't bother and that worries me in case its a life death situation, there are a lot of people in Lewisham and I'm certain that figure is growing. Please please re think this idea, because it's so wrong. Thank you.

    Comments: I am appalled that closing the A & E in such a densely populated area is being considered. Isn't it obvious that urgent medical care be on hand for people in the borough. The tremendous increase in houses, say, around the Lewisham Station and in many areas must be treated with responsibility. I was amazed to hear that new houses in some rural areas of England are to come with extra money for building local amenities!! Why isn't our Mayor taking issue with all this?

    Comments: It is total madness to be considering closing an excellent and very necessary A&E and maternity unit at a successful hospital in order to bail out two failing hospitals. The South east of London has suffered a huge cut in services since the closure of Greenwich Hospital, and this will only exacerbate the problems.
