    Comments: I cannot believe that someone would even think up the idea of closing Lewisham A & E when only a couple of years ago they closed Sidcup A & E. It is common knowledge that there is an increase in stabbings/shooting and other violence were are these to go !

    Comments: Closing Lewisham A&E would put a lot of lives at risk and this should be give a re-think. The journey from anywhere in SE12, SE13 to the QE in Woolwich takes far too long for receiving emergency care. The Greenwich District was closed some years ago and you have to wonder just how far these cuts can realistically be taken.

    Comments: Please seriously rethink about the cost of refurbishment which has already been spent on Lewisham Hospital. Why should we have to foot the bill for other borough's expenses just because they can't manage to stop themselves from sticking to a budget? Think of the consequences to the public who live in Lewisham if they have to be rushed to A & E. They could be dead by the time they arrive at Woolwich.

    Comments: The proposal to close Lewisham is a disgrace. The hospital provides fantastic care and provides emergency services to a large geographical area. The changes would put patients at risk and undermine the whole principal of the health service.

    Comments: Lewisham A&E is one of the most highly regarded and successful ICU / HDU units in the country and its closure would have a detrimental impact on the health and welfare of Lewisham residents. Therefore I strongly oppose any plans to close the unit.

    Comments: I feel strongly that integral local services should be saved at all cost. The need for a fully functional A&E service in Lewisham will assist in bettering the lives and health of the Lewisham community, which is vast and diverse community. The borough itself is geographically large and caters for people of all backgrounds, cultures and economical status. To close, move or even reduce the A&E service in the borough in my view, is a disservice to Lewisham residents and a concern for the well being and health of many people requiring this vital service.
