Name: Lisa Stevenson on Jan 18, 2013Comments: Why should our hospital close our services to bail out South London's PFI? Listen to the local residents and staff who work at Lewisham. I've seen in the past the National Blood Service in Liverpool close down and move to Manchester, which didn't work and then reopened a few years later. Don't waste the tax payers money in this silly idea!!!What is the nature of your work?: TechnicalFlag

Name: Dr Ruth Green on Jan 18, 2013Comments: The closure of Lewisham A&E will be disastrous for the local population and the "facts" upon which the proposal are based are fundamentally flawed. Please do not let politics get in the way of delivering good, safe healthcare to a population that desperately needs it.What is the nature of your work?: DoctorFlag

Name: Rowan Dalley Smith on Jan 18, 2013Comments: Mr Hunt, these proposals are not only illogical they are dangerous. Please pay attention to the objections made. Working with children and young people in Lewisham with complex needs I have real fear for the inevitable impact these changes, if made, will have on their health. You are considering people's lives. Please please listen to the reasons why there is such strong feeling against these changes from local people and ther professionals who work with them. What is the nature of your work?: NurseFlag

Name: James Bostock on Jan 18, 2013Comments: GP practitioners s do not support this recommendation. Patients do not support this recommendation. The clinical evidence use in it is flawed. Patient choice is reduced. Destroying the NHS through stealth is immoral and unethical. Matthew Kershaw should hang his head in shame. What is the nature of your work?: TechnicalFlag

Name: Dr Peter Luce on Jan 18, 2013Comments: The report evades the negative effects on healthcare for Lewisham residents who, using LAS data, will travel to other hospitals rather than Woolwich who do not have capacity. Using the TSA's own figures, the savings could be made bar £1m without decimating Lewisham. It fails the 4 tests and is not supported by Lewisham, Greenwich and many other surrounding borough GPs and patients. What is the nature of your work?: DoctorFlag

Name: Sue Arnold on Jan 18, 2013Comments: I believe the recommendations will compremise the local community. Women will have to travel further for their maternity care and there are no guarantees that the other hospitals will have sufficient capacity. It seems that the changes are disadvantaging Lewisham . I suggest changes are made in the Bromley area which is over supplied with hospitals. What is the nature of your work?: NurseFlag

Recent experience has shown that local A and Es simply do not have the capacity required at peak times. Patients have consisitently been re-referred to UHL.Where are over 4000 local women going to go to have their babies?
