Comments: I am a member of a gym in Gorton it costs me £30 a month, I would much prefer to join a council affiliated facility but the baths and facilities at Levenshulme are too few and far too old. I would definately join up as an iso spa member if Leevnshulme had something akin to sports city or Moss Side lesuire centre

Comments: As Levenshulme baths is my local swimmin pool I have tried to stay loyal to it, to show that it is a valuable asset to the community, but I have been put off by the low standard of the overall service (including hygiene standards, quality of equipment, lax attituteds to opening hours). It has a general atmosphere of neglect which discourages people from using it, and also makes into not a very inspiring place to work - which I think leads to a lack of enthusiasm in the stafff for delivering a good service. I would love to have a well maintained quality local swimming pool to use, and with investment I think it would attract many more local users, which would also help in achieving targets for improving health and fitness in the local area.

Comments: I will not use Levenshulme baths in their present state. It is disgusting in this day and age not to have separate sex changing and safe storage for clothes and belongings. Sort it!

Comments: The baths need serious investment, the toilets near the pools are filthy, falling apart and the roof needs work doing on it. Overall, it needs investment and advertising to get people interested in using it.

Comments: I swim with friends at Levenshulme baths on Thursday evenings, and we always frequent the local pub afterwards - so the whole local community would benefit from more investment in the baths,

Comments: An amazing building, and a vital resource for the local community. The Baths should be restored and maintained as facility to be used by, and available, to all Levenshulme residents.

Comments: I came to use the infra red sauna some two years ago as part of my therapy for gammy leg. Found place tired and dirty as well as being difficult to access. It did appear to have a thriving community spirit and a good building. It is is need of a major overhaul and I would support any such moves. I have resisted moves to go swimming with friends their purely because of the difficult accessq

Comments: Residents of Gorton South Ward who live in postcodes M19 3xx (levenshulme) and M18 7xx (Gorton South) need an improved Swimming Baths facility. To get this, Residents need to be able to direct the activiities of SERCO who are presently the Operators. We call for Capital Investment options to be prepared & analysed by residents.

Comments: the victorian baths are in dire need of some TLC, they serve the local community well and provide for private functions and the like. they are a real gem of a site and just need some attention lavishing on them, small expense for a mass gain surely

Comments: Investment is long overdue in this essential facility. It is outrageous that the local council are allowing our swimming baths to deteriorate at such a pace, especially given that Manchester has some of the highest rates of obesity-related diseases in the country.

Comments: Levenshulme Baths could be a great facility for all the community but it is neglected and that stops it from being so - for example the half completed work on pool 2 seems to have been totally forgotten about.

Comments: I use this swimming pool to keep fit and for social interaction with local people. Both health and comunity are very important for everyone. Though seem to take a very low importance when considering the lack of council support judging the condition of this pool. One example of the breakdown of this local service.

Comments: Levenshulme pool is in need of an update and is worth investment for our communities. It has excellent staff and it is attracting new previously excluded swim groups and can provide opportunities for local people to benefit from the London 2012 Olympic legacy, with many health benefits.

Comments: I take my daughter swimming at Levenshulme baths and she has recently started to have swimming lessons.I have no criticism of the instructor, but some of the frontline staff are unhelpful and ignorant at times. The facilities are extremely poor and simple measures to improve and update the equipment and environment are desperately needed ie.the lighting, the heating(water/room),the tiny changing cubicles, the dirty and antiquated toilets and the variety of play things. Toddler sessions are limited and very restrictive.Information is also difficult to access.
