Anonymous | In Australia I can see it happening soon.... the new cheap chinese bikes mean that for kids, riding has become more accessible... I can see the chardonay commies starting up thier complaints soon... In australia I suspect though that instead the government would rather make money out of it, requiring parents to register thier kids bikes. I have already noticed that recreational registration is being 'pushed'and advertised as a legal means for you to ride your bike (ten years ago, you were still fined for riding in a state forest with rec rego -so even when you tried to be lawful, the laws were so vague that you could actually ride the vehicle anywhere, making recrego useless), I suspect that rec rego will go up to $200-$400 annual payment, with stringent roadworthy, and if worse comes to worse parents will be asked to register thier kids as recreational riders, and yes they will probably bring in a minimum age. -Communism was free-er!!!, how is the state can ban you from not only doing anything on state property that your taxes maintain, but ban you from smoking in your own home, and soon vacuuming after 6pm, vivacious copulation after dusk, and late night supper for kids over 60kg..... with RFID tagging and the state, we are approaching a new world people, expect this generation to be the last true free generation, or expect terroris/uprising to start from the homebrew citizens of western countries.

| 2854 | Nicole Steacy | This is not right, with proper traning and guidance children are more than capable and SAFE riding children size ATV's, I was taught to ride at the age of 6 when the first 80cc ATV came onto the market, and my brother was 4 years old. we were trained and supervised. this should be a parents decision not the governments, what are kids supose to do??? sit on a computer, i think not, I was constantly on my ATV and outside.. The government are telling us that our kids are overweight and do not get out side enought, riding is very good for the body, you use alot for muscles to help move the bikes and control the bike.. DO NOT TAKE THIS AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN..

Terry Martin | This is absolutely absurd! What is it going to be like with a bunch of 14 to16yr olds riding big bore machines with or without the approved safety training...absolutely absurd! Starting young with supervison has more than been proven to increase experience and safety. As the size of the machines, speed and ages go up, so does their overall skill level! Let them ride!

Maurice | The only thing the government is doing is making the kids hate them and the law, it's going to make it worst because I as a parent will not stop riding with my children no mater what .

Mike Despres | It's unfair to children to stop them from riding. It's the parents responsibility to supervise there children with motorized machines. Do not punish the kids. Onece again the goverment is going to far.

Bruce Buchanan | My youngest boy is 10 and has been riding since age 6, I have taught him the skills he needs to be a safe rider as my father taught me, why should this outdoor entertainment cause us to suddenly become criminals?

Terry Pictou | I believe that we shouldn't stop our children from enjoying thier ATV's, but should have them take proper safety training so they can do so safe as possible. Accidents happen, that's why we call them accidents. But with training there can be fewer of them.
Lloyd Bruce | Let them ride.
Mike Weatherby | I grew up in New Brunswick and part of the fun is getting out on the trails. This is a stupid law that has been implemented by someone who probably had a sheltered childhood and was never able to do anything truely fun. Would they rather the children have nothing to do and start taking drugs earlier as they do in Toronto??
Cathie Vienneau | I have driven dirt bikes, 3 wheelers , snowmobiles and four wheelers, my entire life. You cant learn these skills in courses, it takes practice and a good experienced driver to learn.

Clint Dorma | We are seriously considering moving from Alberta to New Brunswick to be closer to family and buy enough land to build a dirt bike track - this bill might cancel our plans.

Kevin Good | Unfortunately the politicians as they usually do meddle in business that should not be theirs. As far as I am concerned it should be up to parents to police thier own children while riding. If you are a reasonable person then their should be not problems.

Johnathon G. MacLeod | I've ridden since I was 7 years old. I am 26 now. All the government wants to do is make money from everyone who can BARELY afford to ride due to new regulations. This safety excuse... Why is my little town over run by Crack Coccain. Don't see the government making 2600 dollar fines for that do you? Someone didn't get the memo on what's really important to the publics interest. The government is supposed to serve the public. Not make everything un-obtainable and WAY too expensive that only the rich prosper and the middle class and lower become lower then ever. The cost of a drivers license (they say is a privilidge) is now for the rich.
