This is a petition to show solidarity with David Letterman, host of The Late Show. Sarah Palin and her followers have decided to twist and bend the facts, and it has come at the cost of our free speech. Mr Letterman owes no apology, and even after giving one, a large group of people are still not satisfied, and want nothing less then to see him fired. We are not going to stand idly by, while Sarah Palin decides for us what jokes are acceptable and which are not. This is nothing but deceitful bullying, and her supporters should be ashamed. This petition is to show CBS, and its affiliates, that if any action is taken against David Letterman, such as suspension, termination, fines, or other loss of salary, the people on this petition will no longer continue to watch CBS, or support any of its affiliates and sponsors. Furthermore, any sponsors of The Late show, that cancel their sponsorship in order to further financially intimidate CBS into taking action against Mr. Letterman, will lose us as customers as well. So far this includes The Embassy Suites, and The Olive Garden. Sorry, but money and personal taste do not decide what free speech is, the constitution does.
