Let’s talk transgender, unisex, and gender restricted restrooms!

Every day, transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) people face the uncertainty and fear of using gender restricted restrooms. Unisex bathrooms are not always available, and even when they are TGNC people may feel pressured and bullied into using them rather than the restroom of which gender they identify with. Gender identity or lack thereof, while personal, should never be a cause for shame or rebuke.

Using the restroom is a private business which people should be able to conduct without fear of prejudice, discrimination, and harassment. It is not a business of choice or control. TGNC people should not be forced to use unisex bathrooms or gender restricted bathrooms according to their appearances.

For some, choosing a restroom is an innate and involuntary action done since birth. For some, it causes anxiety and fear. Help campaign for awareness of the plight and struggle some face in the workplace due to gender restricted and unisex restrooms by signing this petition. No one should fear repercussions of choosing a restroom because of gender identity.
