Magee Expansion: Time to Make it Happen!

 It is now approaching the second anniversary of the launch of the One Plan, which includes the aim of creating 7,700 jobs by 2030 through university expansion.

 We, the undersigned, express our disappointment that the Expansion of Magee College to 9,400 full time equivalent students by 2020 has been delayed over the last two years despite its inclusion as a major programme within the One Plan and despite the University of Ulster’s announcement in 2009 when they made a commitment to the Expansion.

 We, the undersigned, therefore call on the Department for Employment and Learning and the University of Ulster to act immediately to make substantial progress on the physical, subject-based and student numbers Expansion of Magee College.
