We Need the Canadian Government to see animals as part of your family and not an object in cases of animal cruelty and abuse. We have started this petition to get the laws for animal cruelty cases more severe. If you abuse and/or torture an animal you should be severly punished. Animals are a living thing that feels pain, hunger, thirst, love, and everything else just like a human does. In our society today you are punished more for possesing the weapon that you would use to torture and/or abuse the animal than you do for actually torturing and/or abusing them. You can not harm a human being... why is an animal so different?? You abuse your animal.... you get a fine( at most), you abuse your child... you get your child taken away! You torture an animal... you again get a fine, You torture a human being... You go to jail for a long time! By signing this Petition you are helping in the fight against animal cruelty and abuse. We are trying to make the punishment for such acts more severe so hopefully people will stop the abuse and cruelty. Please help animals have a voice!
