Back in 2005, Teen Second Life was created, but closed 6 years later due to apparent money problems with SL's creator, Linden Lab. Everyone who was under 16 had their accounts banned until their 16th birthday, and while 16-17 year olds could still play SL, they were very limited to what they could do. 13-15 teens could play SL, but only within a limited sponsorship area, and they can't access the marketplace.
This is not meant for the reopening of the Teen Grid, but rather to let teens go on the main grid. They, along with the 16-17 year olds, can access General and Moderate, but not Adult stuff. There's ratings and TONS of stuff to do in Second Life, so why not let teens go on?
