Sean Bowman is a member of our cohort. He belongs in our classes with us, no matter how many absences he was acquired. If Sean is able to complete the coursework, he should be able to stay. While we are aware of Arizona State University policy to drop students from a class after 3 absences, Sean had a valid reason that everybody was aware of ahead of time. Having a baby is a very joyous occasion and dropping him from a class that he is a valued member of, is unjust. By dropping Sean from class, the class morale will also be dropped. I hope that by having this petition signed, the decision will be overturned and Sean will be allowed to continue.
