If an organic farmer is utilizing 100% certified organic practices, should that farmer be less organic because of also utilizing extremely effecient and sustainable irrigation and crop protection practices? That is what may happen if some farmers have there way, in an attempt to exclude organic-hydroponics (hydro-organics) and other recirculating systems used in an effort to reduce water consumption and improve quality.
Neither The government or special interest groups should not tell farmers how run their business, if hydro-organic growers are following the same rules as conventional organic farms, they should be allowed to participate in the certified organic program, and improve sustainability and local access to organic food!
