Update: Thank you for all your support the school board voted unanimously, Noah is able to walk with his Senior class on June 12th, 2016! #Letnoahwalk
We are writing a petition to have people from the community such as parents, teachers and students sign allowing Noah Currier to walk with our senior class Sunday June 12th, 2016. It is unfair that he is not allowed to walk, he has a Immune Deficiency. He has to get blood transfusions every three weeks in order to keep his immune system strong enough to fight off. The doctors were able to give Noah a medical excuse, it was hard for him to finish up his math class and we all understand that. We think he should be able to walk with us seniors and get his diploma when he is done with summer school with his math class. Though he still needs to finish the math we believe he should have the right to walk across the stage with his graduating class, and receive his diploma once he has completed the allotted work required. Noah is a part of our class and we want him to walk with us. While, other kids are getting away with missing a lot of class with no excuse and we do not think it is fair. We are united as the class of 2016 and believe in this. We believe it is unjust for any person who has put as much effort into school as he does not to be allowed to walk due to the fact that the school did not notify him about the missing half credit until just a week ago.

My sister was able to walk with her class even though she had to finish a credit which was done over the summer and this was 22yrs ago.... Noah's is due to a serious medical issue and her's was due to slacking off. It would only seem fair to let him walk.
As the mother of 2 children with immune disorders, this action is wrong in so many ways!! He is going to be done in two weeks!!! Please don't take away a moment in his life that he will never get back because of something he did not ask to have! Please!!!!
Administrators are well-paid to make decisions. Let this young man walk with his class and get a blank diploma. The district can then issue his 'real' diploma in two weeks when he completes his half-credit. Be reasonable; be compassionate. SET AN EXAMPLE!!
As a patient with Primary Immunodefiency, I am aware of the challenges involved in keeping pace with a healthy world. Noah should be applauded for graduating, not penalized because of approved accommodations due to his ongoing health issues. Let him walk!
I'm 1992 VAHS alumni. Please make sure this kid walks. VAHS has been a dynamic & learning resource for so many students. It disappoints me to think that the school has lost sight. Please reconsider & use this as an opportunity to support your students.
Have any of you stopped to realize what and who you are protesting? You are protesting the support of a local Carmel family that has been at every graduation for 40 years making sure that all of you are ready for your big day. When you forget your hat or come with a wrinkled gown or ordered the wrong size....this family has scrambled and prepared for every scenario to make it all work out for you to succeed at your graduation ceremony. Where is the money going??? To a local family that has given back to you and your community far more than you will ever realize. You would rather save and give to a random oversees company? Would you rather save $20 to take away swimming lessons for their autistic grandson at the local swimming academy or take $20 away from their yearly support of the Giving Tree Foundation to ensure that low income families can give their children Christmas presents? Would you rather save $20 to take away the dozen local family jobs that are employed by them in Hamilton County? They have been a wonderful part of our community for generations and deserve our support. It's wonderful that you all are getting involved...but, have a little thought and do some research before picking your battles. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!! THAT IS HOW WE ALL SUCCEED!!!
I grad from Hse and paying the $80 rental is crazy where is all that money going?

I worked in education for many years and this would never have happen in our District! When it comes to sharing a caring community with students you have failed! An unsigned diploma is a simple fix! Wake up sounds like a student to be proud of!
