We all know that while a woman is on labour ward she is allowed one person to stay with her at all times, so why does this change once the baby's here?? Labour and birth hurts. C Sections hurt. Some women are unable to get out of bed to care for their crying babies, yet while day staff are nice people who help to their fullest, come 8PM and shifts change the night staff aren't so helpful. This is the case for a lot of women once they've given birth, the night staff just don't care! This needs to change, if the staff aren't going to be more helpful then let new dads, or birthing partners help new mums when they're at their most exhausted. Something needs to be done about night staff!
