Final supporters
The original cut of Les Miserables was close to four hours as stated by Director Tom Hooper. After the Director's cut it was about three hours long. Hooper has tossed around the possibility of releasing an extended edition, saying:
"I’m not sure. If there’s interest in the community of fans of the musical then I would definitely consider it."
Let's show him that the Les Mis fans are behind him in this extended edition and that we want it released, whether in theatres or on the DVD release!

Will we ever see it? Maybe for the 30th anniversary of the musical? I dreamed a dream that Tom was kind...and let us watch the 4-hour version...
If this means we get the extra lines missing from "Fantine's Arrest" when Javert comes up (and maybe even the chorus on that scene that has been cut since the London production...) I would be extremelly satisfied.
An extended version would be so in demand. Almost every film version has been more than 3 hours long. One was even like 6 hours and people still want to watch it. This would be so important in the history of Les Miserables adaptations. I for one know if would be so important in the history of the musical community and commercial markets as well.
Please release an extended version of the film! The most famous musical of all times deserves an equally grand film release. To get to see and hear the extra verses of "On My Own" and "Drink With Me," among others, would make this fan extremely happy. :)
I really want to see the rest of Drink With Me especially, and any other songs that were filmed but cut out. I'd also love to see more scenes of the Les Amis de l'ABC if possible.

the fact that people are still signing this petition FIVE YEARS after its creation is a testament to how much we still want this. i just read the script online and am especially bitter at how many great and touching moments were left out of the final cut. please help us tom hooper. please
