It is difficult to imagine anything as innocent and harmless as a kid-run lemonade stand. After all, almost everyone who grew up in America can remember spending a summer afternoon out in front of their home, selling Kool-Aid or cookies to their neighbors.

But this traditional American pastime is under attack! In the past few years more than two dozen cities across the country have ordered little kids to shut down their concession stands because they were illegal.

If the government has the power to prohibit such a harmless activity, how can any of us believe that we are living in a truly free society?

When Hazelwood, Missouri, told two local Girl Scouts that it was illegal for the girls to sell cookies from a stand in front of their home, the Freedom Center of Missouri stepped in to fight on their behalf. More than a year into our legal battle, Hazelwood and its attorneys continue to insist that lemonade stands should be illegal.

If you believe that freedom means that little kids should be allowed to take part in this great American tradition, sign this petition to tell Hazelwood that Lemonade Stands Should Be Legal!
