We the undersigned strongly believe that the area currently reserved for parks and recreation in North Fremantle should remain so. The WAPC intends to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme for land in the local governments of Fremantle and Mosman Park, thereby transferring the zoning from Parks and Recreation reservation to the Urban zone. This will simply create money for developers and housing for a small suburb of rich people. Undoubtedly the buildings will also be as soulless as the Nth Bank development in Nth Fremantle. We demand that this area is turned into parkland for all the people of Perth to be able to enjoy regardless of their economic status.
