Name: James Holman on May 14, 2007Comments: Leicester, like many other cities around the UK has a thriving skateboard scene, which needs both support and development. In order for this to happen, it needs a skatepark to facilitate this. With other cities around the country such as Stoke and Middlesbrough having world class skateparks, we feel Leicester both needs and deserves one.Flag

Name: Iskender Levent on May 15, 2007Comments: All over the united kingdom councils are banning skateboarding from city centres and the police are issuing fines - Many councils are seeing that by doing so the thousands of skateboarders are branded criminals because of their passion for skateboarding and are providing plaza style skateparks and other suitable facilities for skateboards to use. Leicester Council, dont get left behind by other citys! Follow suit with the likes of stoke, prissick, london ect and instead of trying to solve the problem by banning skateboarding, do something positive for the youth of today and many many generations to come by building a plaza!...or would you prefer thousands of people wandering the streets with nothing to doFlag

Name: Sam Taylor on May 15, 2007Comments: At the moment Leicester's skate scene is booming, it has good shops, a quality indoor park and hundreds of skateboarders hitting the streets everyday but there is one thing it doesn't have, what cities like Milton Keynes, Stoke and Middlesborough have, a world class skateboard plaza... Designed for the skaters by the skaters. Please help us.Flag

Name: Jon Freeman on May 15, 2007Comments: Leicester city has been calling for a skateboard plaza for years now...someone needs to make it happen, theres a thriving skateboard scene with very limited facilities. Footballers get their pitches, tennis players their courts.....yet there always empty A skate plaza in leicester would always be busy and would bring in people from ALL over england....surely this would benefit the city!Flag
