Comments: Doctors at the very LEAST should be able to diagnose broken and fractured bones. What if this had been something more serious Hospitals need to be held accountable for their errors. After all, we put the health of ourselves and our loved ones in their hands.

Comments: Well I can absolutely agree with this petition. Not only does it concern me that this Hospital is unsanitary, but Doctors who cannot look at an X-ray and see a fracture in a child is very scary. Good Luck with this and hope my signing this petition brings you a step closer to having this place monitored or possibly shut down

Comments: I do not live in the area any longer, though my family does have a vacation home there still. I will not, ever take my family to this hospital! The founder of this petition is, and has been my best friend since the day she was brought home form the hospital, and what has happened to her, and her family pains me! My youngest, is her son's age, and I couldn't imagine! Something needs to be done about this so no other families have to deal with the pain, financial hardships associated with, and confusion due to the lack of training/people skills offered by the staff at this hospital.

Comments: I went there with severe complications from stomach flu. I was treated rudely and roughly, and was told to get over it. I was so dehydrated I was passing out. My mother went there with a reaction from meds she was prescribed, and was classified as an addict and od case without being looked at first.

Comments: i completely agree with you. the one thing i notice is that the people there are lazy and the doctors do not do a darn thing, and on top of that, they have teenagers running the place!!! its horrible, and ITS JUST PLAIN STUPID THAT EVERYBODY KNOWS ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND NO ONE IN THE HIGH END WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. i hope they get hurt and then get to experience the BS that goes on in there.

Comments: My father died there in Jan 05. He was put on life support even though he had a DNR on file so my Mom had to make the decision to take him off life support the next day. The hospital said they contacted his cardiologist but he never showed up so we assumed he was out of town or something. My father was part of a heart implant study so the Dr should have been there to see him. We found out 2 months later when my Mom went to Dr for appt that he nor his office was ever notified of Dad's hospital admission or his death! Then a couple weeks after his death someone from the billing office called & left a nasty message on my Mom's answering machine about needing to talk to my Dad about paying his bill! Hello! He is deceased! Then Mom asked for a copy of the bill because it seemed high & they told her they don't provide itemized bills. BS! She finally got them to send one & there were many, many questionable charges for items that shouldn't have been used in his case or multiple charges for the same items. Mom turned it over to the insurance co fraud division & they straightened it out but I'm sure that they do that with many patients so check your itemized bills! I live in Iowa so I couldn't be down there to really get to the bottom of the crap the hospital was pulling but I would urge others to be vigilant. I would not recommend anyone going there either!

Comments: THIS HOSPITAL IS ONE OF THE WORST HOSPITALS IN ALL OF SOUTH FLORIDA. IT IS RIDICULOUS WHAT THESE DOCTORS ARE DOING. MY BROTHER WENT THERE WITH SERIOUS CHEST PAINS AND THE DOCTORS AND NURSES HERE PROVIDED NO HELP WHAT SO EVER. THEY JUST SENT HIM TO SOUTHWEST REGIONAL, HE WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK AND ALMOST DIED! ALSO WHEN MY HUSBAND WENT THERE THEY CHARGED OVER 7000.00 FOR A CT SCAN GET REAL.

Comments: I took my husband to Lehigh Hospital two years ago for what ended up being a broken rib. Not only was it an 8 hour trip to the ER, but a $6,000 arrived about a month later - no description of the charges, just the date of the visit and the total amount. And while we were in the ER, the doctor examining him made an error about which side his spleen was on. He also told me that my husband's liver could be bleeding. It was the worst treatment I've ever experienced from an ER, from a doctor and from a hospital. I live in Lehigh and I won't go there.

Comments: Unacceptable... when you have to call for medication 10 times before a nurse comes in and acts like you have bothered her.... then goes to change IV and spills the fluid all over you at 2am... This hospital should be CLOSED!!!

Comments: My aunt who has lived in Lehigh Acres for over 10 years wrongly diagnosed with a blocked artery in her heart. She is 74 yrs old, had fallen and was transported to Lehigh Medical. Several tests were run and she was informed that she had a blocked artery in her heart by a Dr. Richardson and needed to have a procedure done right away. He had her transported to Charlotte Medical Center in Port Charlotte in the early morning, 3 am on a Sunday. Only to find out that she "did not" have a blocked artery at all and her heart was fine. Our family later found out that this doctor Richardson has several malpractice suits against him. How is he able to still be in business, working on patients and lying about their diagnosis for greed!!!! What angers me to the "extreme" is that my aunt "did not" need this procedure at all and what if something had happened to her. This hospital (Lehigh Medical) desperation to "get money " from insurance companies says something by itself about the facility; especially since doctors like this one, if that is truly what he is, are not interested in helping individuals, but treating them like a piece of meat to be pounded on and left with physical and mental scars. Something has to be done!
