Name: Yvette Lepage on Mar 10, 2012Comments: Those of us who either are forced to get around without a car or choose to get around without a car need to be able to do this safely and efficiently. Remember the words of Enrique Penalosa..."a person on a $30 bicycle is just as important as a person in a $30,000 car." It's all about social equity.Flag

Name: Randy Tuckerman on Apr 9, 2012Comments: "Commercial Benefits: In Quebec bicycle industry generated sales over $181 Million, 2,800 jobs, $17.2 Million in Tax energy Revenue, $13.6 Million in Federal taxes." This alone should open people's eyes. If every province could achieve this type of benefit everyone comes out on top. Also, as someone involved in the industry on many levels it would be much easier to gain new customers and interest in riding if there were significant improvements to roads where people frequently ride. Hopefully this petition will not go unnoticed. Something needs to be done for peoples safety on the road above anything else.Flag

Name: Cathy Waszczuk on Apr 18, 2012Comments: as a proud cyclist in Toronto, both the municipal and provincial government must make alternative transportation infrastructure a priority. partisan politics must not detract from the fact that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of collisions between cyclists and motorists that could be prevented by developing and implementing appropriate infrastructure and making all road-users (whether pedestrian, cyclist, motorist, or public transit user) more cognizant and responsible for their behaviour on roadways.Flag
