Comments: I'm wondering why this Government cannot take note of the benefits that cycling provides not only on an individual, but the community as a whole.

Comments: My choice mode of transportation for commuting to work is the bicycle. During even this years mild winter, I have been forced to revert to using my car as bicycle trails in the bottoms of Toronto's valleys collect and hold snow and ice far longer then the streets and and the trails are not maintained in winter. Better infrastructure would extend the bicycle commuting season, and get more people on thier bikes and out of their cars. More cars off the road. Less pollution, a more physically fit population.. lower healthcare costs ..... all good stuff!

Comments: Many of our existing bike lanes are unsafe. It's not enough to build a lane that's half taken up by cars parked in an unreasonably narrow parking space. It's not OK for the bike lane to be in the open-door zone of parked cars. It's not OK for the bike lane to end without any markings in the middle of an intersection. And infrastructure can't replace enforcement of our traffic laws, especially dangerous driving laws. Why are we playing catch-up with Montreal? We should be the leaders.
