   Comments: We need to begin acting in the intersts of allroad users, as other cities around the world have already done. The direct and indirect benefits of cycling as a means of urban transportation, far exceed the unfounded claims from proponents of a transporation system designed exclusively for motor vehicles. Build it and they will come, and with it: reduced healthcare costs, reduced air polution, reduced costs to build and maintain infrastructure, reduced cost of traffic congestion, a positive impact to local economies, and a general better quality of life for all.

   Comments: Both the Ontario and Federal governments need to do more to improve not only public transit, but also cycling infrastructure. Being an avid cyclist, I know improved cycling infrastructure will encourage more Ontarians and Canadians to take up cycling for commuter and/or recreational purposes. Provides a win-win in which not only would there be less pollution resulting from fewer cars, the population would be healthier from clean air and exercise.
