In Nov, 2016 Nevadans will vote, in the general election, "an initiative to tax & regulate Marijuana (Click here)". We request Nevadans to support the initiative because it will:

• Help Law enforcement focus on preventing an assault or car theft or solving a violent crime.There were over 8,500 marijuana-related arrests or citations in Nevada in 2012, and 85% of them were for marijuana possession. That same year, nearly 90% of reported burglaries, including home invasions, and over 92% of all motor vehicle thefts went unsolved.

• Marijuana prohibition makes it harder to protect children. Right now, it is easier for junior high and high school students to get marijuana than a six pack. There is no real regulation and effective prevention programs are chronically underfunded.

• The current, failed approach also supports and increases profits for the criminal black market, including violent drug cartels waging a drug war in our State.
