My family and I recently became the owner of 4 healthy and happy hens. Unfortunately the town we live in does not allow us to own chickens. We are not going to get rid of our chickens even though they are not allowed, but we think it would greatly benefit, us and the other families who own chickens, if it was legal to own them. The villlage board as of now is saying that "chickens will be too much work and too dirty". This is true but that is only if you don't take care of them. We plan to take good care of ours and the other families that own them also take good care to make sure the chickens are clean, healthy, and safe. Please show your support by signing this petition.
My neighbors have them and you cant even hear them. They keep their coop way cleaner than some people keep their yards. Ridiculous that the village board thinks they know more about responsible pet ownership than the residents.
